Why are there white patches inside OmniPork?

They are 100% plant-based lipids to simulate moisturised and smooth texture in meat. They appear in white solids at room temperature and melt under heat. Small amount of lipids may not be fully melted and residues may remain depending on cooking temperature. It is normal phenomenon and safe for consumption. That said, OmniPork has 70% lower saturated fat than that in pork and is a delicious and healthy pork alternative for vegans and health-conscious individuals.

Omnipork® is launched by foodtech company Right Treat. An established food scientist team in Canada has spent 2 years of comprehensive research to create this nutritionally superior analogue comprised of a proprietary blend of plant-based protein from pea, non-GMO soy, shiitake mushroom and rice for complete protein. It contains 0mg cholesterol, is antibiotic-free, hormone-free, cruelty-free, and 86% lower in saturated fat and 66% lower in calories than real pork, while offering much higher fiber, 2.6 times more calcium and 127% higher in iron. Since its launch in April, Omnipork® has received extensive coverage from international media. Numerous restaurant partners have launched their specific Omnipork® menus, including Cordis Hotel Hong Kong, JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong and King of Sheng Jian.
